Refund Policy

Backlot has a free 7-day trial so you can be sure it works with your setup before you pay. If it still doesn't work out, you can have your money back.

14 days, no questions asked

If you're unhappy with Backlot for any reason, email thomas@lostnfoundmedia.com within 14 days of purchase with the email address you used at checkout, and we'll refund the full amount. You don't need to give a reason, though we'll always appreciate knowing what went wrong.

After 14 days

If Backlot stops working with your Plex server or your Mac because of a bug on our side and we can't fix it within a reasonable time, we'll refund you regardless of the date. For other requests after 14 days, email us and we'll take a look; we're reasonable people.

How refunds are paid

Refunds are issued by Paddle, our merchant of record, to the original payment method. They usually appear within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank. Once a refund is issued, your licence key is deactivated and Backlot returns to free local-folder mode. Your library, tags and watch history are not affected.

Apple TV

Backlot for Apple TV is sold through Apple's App Store. Refunds for that purchase are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
